Make props and scenery for your Roblox experience
Building a place in Roblox Studio takes a lot of small models: crates, trees, lamps, cars, furniture, signs and decorations. This generator makes them from a short description or a picture. On the Describe tab you write one object and choose a style; Blocky gives chunky shapes and bright solid colors that fit classic brick-built games. On the From image tab you upload concept art or a photo of one object and the AI builds the full 3D shape, back included.
Every model comes with its texture. Before you download, set the Polycount so the mesh stays under Roblox's triangle limit, then import the FBX or OBJ into Studio with the steps below.
Prompt ideas
- a wooden treasure chest with gold trim
- a cartoon lamp post with a round glowing lamp
- a small red sports car
- a pine tree with snow on the branches
- a sci-fi crate with blue glowing panels
- a market stall with a striped awning
How to import an AI model into Roblox Studio
1. Generate the model
On Describe, write one object, for example "a wooden treasure chest with gold trim", and pick a style: Blocky, Smooth stylized, Low-poly or Realistic. On From image, upload one clear picture of a single object. Most models are ready in a few minutes.
2. Pick a polycount and download
Open the More menu under the model. Choose a Polycount (Full, 50%, 25% or Low-poly); the menu shows about how many triangles each one has. Download FBX or OBJ. You can also download the free GLB and turn it into FBX or OBJ with our free converters.
3. Import into Roblox Studio
In Studio, open the File menu and choose Import, then pick your FBX or OBJ file. Check the import settings and any warning icons, then click Import. To test without adding a copy to your inventory, turn off Upload to Roblox first.
4. Place and size it
The model comes in as a MeshPart. Use Find in Workspace in the Importer to jump to it, then move, scale and anchor it like any other part.
Steps follow Roblox's own 3D Importer guide. Need FBX from a GLB? Use the free GLB to FBX converter or GLB to OBJ converter.
Tips for models that work well in Roblox
- Roblox's mesh specifications say a single mesh can't have more than 20,000 triangles. Stay well under that for props you place many times, so your experience runs smoothly on phones.
- FBX keeps the texture with the model and is the format Roblox's export guide recommends. OBJ is fine for a simple static prop.
- Roblox supports textures up to 4096 x 4096 pixels, and each mesh can use one material. Small props look fine with a smaller texture.
- One object per prompt or picture. A whole scene comes out as one merged lump; make the table, chairs and lamp one at a time.
- Simple, chunky shapes survive a low polycount best. Thin poles, wires and fingers break up first when you reduce triangles.
Limits from Roblox's mesh specifications and texture specifications, checked October 2026. Roblox can change them, so check the importer's warnings.
Change the look after you generate
Want the same chest in a different color, or a crate that looks rusty? Open the model in the AI 3D Texturing Studio and describe the new surface; the shape stays the same. For a quick color swap, the free 3D Model Color Changer recolors parts in your browser.
